Regular council meetings are held on the first and third Tuesday of each month beginning at 6 p.m. in Council Chambers located at 900 Mountain Avenue, Crossfield (Crossfield & District Community Centre.)
If you have a matter to discuss with council and would like to be placed on the council agenda, you must complete the Council Presentation requestion form and return the completed form to admin@crossfieldalberta.com. Your request will be reviewed by the Chief Administrative Officer in consultation with any impacted department(s) and may:
1. Undertake an administrative review and provide a written response to the individual or group to satisfy the request for an appointment with Council.
2. Advise Council, or the committee of the request and the reasons provided by the requestor and add the appointment to the next regular Council meeting agenda, subject to the Mayors approval.
3. Add the appointment to a future Council meeting agenda if:
- Requested by the individual or group making the request; or
- If Administration requires more time to properly investigate and report on the matter.
Delegation members are allotted up to 10 minutes for their presentation, unless additional time is granted by the Chair. Council members may ask questions for clarification following the presentation.
When asking questions, Councillors will focus on matters related to the topic being presented and will aim to avoid repeating questions that have already been asked.
Delegates are asked to speak only to the topic of their presentation and may appear before Council on the same topic once within a 12-month period.
Disclaimer: Meeting minutes are not official until approved at the next regular council meeting. Should you have any questions regarding the minutes, please contact administration at (403) 946-5565 or admin@crossfieldalberta.com
